Intelliverse Introduces SIP Trunking to Its COMPLETEcall Solution
Offering increased functionality while retaining quick implementation cycles in its Wholesale and Partner Programs
Atlanta – February 19, 2008 – Intelliverse, a leading provider of IP communications, today announced that it has added SIP Trunking to its COMPLETEcall solution. This new service allows businesses to experience the benefits of a hosted VoIP service, without having to discard their previous investments in a premise based phone system.
SIP Trunking works by installing an Internet Access Device (IAD) in the small to medium sized business environment. The device then works as a converter between the "legacy" phone system and the user's Internet connection – allowing the data network to carry voice traffic. Features of SIP Trunking include local and long distance calling, E911, directory listing and caller ID, which easily integrate into the users existing phone system. Intelliverse's hosted solution also offers feature upgrades, including electronic faxing and IVR.
"With the addition of SIP Trunking under our COMPLETEcall solution, we are able to leverage a user’s previous PBX investment while significantly saving in monthly telco costs," said Joe Cusick, the newly appointed vice president of wholesale services for Intelliverse. "This new system not only lowers monthly costs but allows multi-location businesses to connect offices together on a single private voice network."
SIP Trunking is targeted at small and medium businesses with an existing phone system, including Key Systems and PBXs. This new service joins Intelliverse's COMPLETEcall Solution which is also comprised of a Hosted IP PBX product - targeted mainly for business locations without an existing phone system. Businesses with a mixture of location types and phone systems can benefit by using the appropriate COMPLETEcall service(s), resulting in a fully managed nationwide private phone network – with free calling between all locations.
